Our Wedding

Once upon a time...

in 2018, Ricky and David crossed paths in the heart of Los Angeles. Unknown to them, what began as simple messages would soon blossomed into a deep connection—one built on laughter, trust, and countless late-night conversations. For two years they were inseparable best friends, unaware that their friendship was quietly turning into the beginning of a love story. Just before they began dating in 2020, life placed them in the same apartment complex, turning them into next-door neighbors—a coincidence that felt like destiny’s gentle nudge. A few butterfly-filled stomach dates later, Ricky asked the question that would change everything: “Do you want to come down the rabbit hole with me?” David said yes, and together they stepped into a world of wonder, where love felt a little like magic. In the five years since then, they’ve built a life filled with cozy nights, shared adventures, and celebrations that make every season sparkle. They’ve also found home within each other’s families, something that has always meant the world to them. And in full romantic cliché, Ricky proposed to David on Valentine's Day 2025. Their story continues as all the best fairy tales do: with love, laughter, and dreams still unfolding. For Ricky and David, this is the start of their Once Upon a Dream.

Whether you soak in the sun at Santa Monica or Venice Beach, take a scenic hike through Runyon Canyon with views of the Hollywood Sign, or spend a fun-filled day at nearby Universal Studios, there’s so much to see and do here. We encourage you to plan some time to <a href="https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g32655-Activities-Los_Angeles_California.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">explore activities</a>, and feel free to reach out if you’d like recommendations! Rehearsal Dinner (for I Do Crew) For close family members and our I Do Crew, join us Thursday evening for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Time, location, and more details will be shared soon. 💍 Saturday, September 19, 2026Wedding Day All wedding events will take place at The Glass Slipper Palace and conclude in the evening. Kindly arrive at 3:30 PM as the Ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. After the nuptials, we invite guests to enjoy an enchanted adults-only Reception of cocktails, music, dinner, and dancing throughout the evening. Additional public parking options can be found in the area and along Broadway and 11th Street. Parking typically costs around $10 but can vary by lot. Many locations accept payment through the ParkWhiz app or Spot Hero for easy, seamless parking, or cash at select garages. As with any big city, we recommend keeping personal belongings out of sight and securely stored in your trunk. • Uber and Lyft rideshare drop-off is also available at the venue entrance.

For those flying in, you have two convenient airport options. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is approximately 30–40 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles, while Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is around 25–35 minutes away, depending on traffic. Our venue, <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/VAEHXJSAarQCGc9N7" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Glass Slipper Palace</a>, is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, making it easy to reach from either airport. Getting to Downtown Los Angeles: • Rideshare: Uber and Lyft are available at both airports and are the simplest way to reach your hotel and the venue. Fares typically range from $30–$50 depending on traffic and time of day. • FlyAway Bus: The FlyAway Bus offers direct service from LAX to Union Station in Downtown LA for around $10 per person.
